ST. VINCENT'S HOSTEL FOR TRIBAL BOYS AND GIRLS
The Hostel is running for more than 15 years, for the development of the young Tribal Boys & Girls, among the surrounding of rural area of Tripura. The number of the hostel students are 110 Students (both Boys & Girls).
Students performance:
The Hostel Students are seriously facilitated for round development, which include personality development, academic excellence and extra-curricular achievements. Consequently, the performance of the students in their annual exams had been excellent. In fact, many of our students secured 1st, 2nd,or 3rd position in their respective classes.

During 2009, eight students from the hostel appeared Madhyamik Exam of Tripura Board through Holy Cross High School. Seven of them passed successfully, securing third division.
In-house Weekly Competition:
The Hostel boys and girls are also given special time to have competition among themselves. Every year the boarding House has the Annual Sport with the Inter Hostel, (Hostel under the School of Holy Cross High School). The Hostel boys and girls are categorized into groups and have to take part in group/individual competition events. The events for competition include singing, dancing, drama, quiz, football, volleyball, throw ball, speech etc for the boys and girls, which is one of the active part (curriculum) for the Boarding Boys and Girls during their Studies.
Personality development and motivation:
Besides the above education and extra-curricular, prominent individuals from local and outside are invited from time to time to give talk to the hostel students for motivational orientation and personality development. During this period, many resource person which interact not only among themselves, but also with the resource persons which orient them with higher level of motivation and performance goals together with character building process.
Hostel Teaching Staff
There are 7 (seven) number of Staff in the Hostel; the staff are divided in different section according to the class and Qualification. The Students are given a good coaching and qualities by the teaching staff of the Boarding. The teaching staff stays in the Teacher Quarter within the Hostel campus . the students are given tuition and teaching every morning and evening.

THE FORMATION & ACTIVITIES OF SELF HELP GROUP (SHG)
Another key activities and achievements of the society is in the formation, nurturing and promotion of Self Help Groups (SHGs) among the woman of the rural areas. The society has so far formed 30 SHGs, which it continues to nurture in various ways for improvement of rural livehoods, income and saving of the house holds particularly woman. The SHGs have been formed at
(1) Nalkata, (2) Kanchancherra, (3) Madhumongal Para, (4) Old Kathalcherra, (5)Old and New Kathalcherra (6) Durbashakhola and (7) Ajit Sangma Para.
The members of the SHG are facilitated and encouraged to participate in various district and competition events for exposure and as a continuous process of “learning by doing”. They are also encouraged to do savings for their income. The Dhalai District Administration including the DRDA sponsors most of these programmes. The programmes and activities include:
Training for SHG
The organisation had organized training on Banana Bark for 15 Days with subordinate by NEDFi Agartala branch, ever first time in North-East. The participant are from different state, This training is to encourage social economic development especially for women improvement. the beneficiaries trainees to learn the actives and product from Banana Fibers to make different types of Arts and Design like-Bag, Box, Bottle carrier, cushion, mat, basket ladies hand bag.etc. Lots of items are prepared, it is to show that ever thing are important for the development.

- Weaving & Tailoring
- Training on wearing & Tailoring
- Livestock management training and income generating activities based on piggery, goatery, poultry and cattle rearing.
- Pine apple Plantation
- Kitchen garden
- Farming activities and vegetable growing.
